The objectives of the Ukrainian Canadian Research & Documentation
Centre are:
to promote interest in the study and research of Ukrainian
history and Ukrainian Canadians;
to collect, assemble, catalogue, and preserve information,
documents, books, articles, films, audio and video tapes and other materials
dealing with the history of Ukrainians and Ukrainian Canadians;
to establish and maintain a collection of research information,
documents, books, articles, films, audio and video tapes and other materials
dealing with Ukrainian history throughout the world;
to acquire and preserve donations, collectibles and relevant
gifts;
to support community projects and research activities by
arranging seminars, conferences, lectures and exhibits;
to support the educational activities of other organizations
by preparing material for teaching about the history of Ukrainians and Ukrainian
Canadians; and
to liaise with relevant organizations and agencies such
as the Archival Association of Ontario, National Archives, Canadian Council
of Archives and others which support the Mission and objectives of the UCRDC.
